上海部分镜友今年春节借漆兄宝地举行了一次聚会,聚会其间领略了佳能10X30 IS镜的风采,对稳像功能有了实际的体验.当获知Canon又出了10X42 L IS镜以后,便请bgs帮忙订购一架.前天镜子安好到手,这两天请出了Leica 10X42 BL做两相比较,现谈谈比较的结果和观后感.

该镜是Canon第一架防水稳像望远镜,L和红圈代表了它的光学素质达到其著名的L系列摄影镜头的水平.它在左右镜组中各采用了两块UD(Ultra-low Dipersion)超低色散镜片,目镜采用了双视场致平结构.4.2毫米的出瞳直径也是Canon所有稳像镜中最大的.
本人不太喜欢此镜的外形,确实比较另类.但是考虑到在镜体里要安置稳像装置,做好外形似乎也挺难的.该镜有些细节考虑得还是比较周到的,比如标准的三角架连接孔使用起来就非常方便.镜子的做工不错,调焦钮的行程较长,但是手感滑顺.由于镜体较厚,达到了8.5公分,握持感就不太理想.原配的镜袋相当不错,既漂亮又实用,是我所进的镜子里面最好的一个.
稳像的功能相当棒!按下按钮到影像稳定大概需要一秒钟不到的时间,其间并没有出现影像模糊的情况.反复把玩了几次以后,发现了一个有趣的现象,就是启动稳像功能以后,聚焦点会发生轻微飘移,做一微调以后可以获得比稳像前更好的清晰度.许多镜友说稳像以后清晰度有细微下降,不知道是否因此而来?大家应该都有这样的经验,如果手持望远镜定睛观察远处细小的景物,比如文字等,即使是六倍镜,同样会因为晃动而无法看清,有了稳像功能的助阵,不仅能够轻易看清细节,而且大大减低眼睛的疲劳感,提高观察舒适度.我拿IS镜与蔡六做过稳定性对比,结果只能用天上地下来形容.许多镜友认为稳像对高倍才有意义,其实IS对六倍,八倍镜的稳定性都会有很大的帮助.我现在才理解为什么Canon要提供八倍的稳像镜.我甚至产生了买一个8X25,或者10X30 IS镜作日用的念头.我不太懂观星,试看了一下,觉得稳像功能对手持观星很有实用性,也未发现稳像带来的拖尾现象,也许我经验积累得不够,今天看不到星星,有机会再试试.
我还发现一个现象,就是该镜似乎装有平面保护玻璃,既能保护物镜面,又便于密封防水.事实是否如此,大家看图说话吧.(最后一张图)
与Leica 10X42 BL的比较结果:
影像风格: 两镜相似,都比较注重忠实地反映景物.
色彩还原: L镜更为准确,或者说C还存在非常轻微,几乎不可察觉的偏黄.
清晰度:说L为10,那么C应该为9.L镜不是胜在分辨率,而是胜在具有较高的反差.两者差距并不是很大.
亮度: L镜略胜,胜自更加明快的影调.
色差: 哈哈,C镜的四片UD镜可不是吃素的.在这方面,C镜把L镜打得满地找牙.C镜即使是在视野的边缘,色差的程度也明显小于L镜在50%视野处的色差.C镜应该是我看到的镜子中色差纠正最好的一个!FL都不是它的对手.
边缘像质: C镜又是大胜.即使处在视野边缘,清晰度都保持很高水平,而L镜从视野的80%左右清晰度开始下降.两镜都有不算严重的枕形失真,失真度以C镜为大.
消光效果: 两镜相同.
如果问我更喜欢那架镜子的光学表现?我会毫不犹豫地选择Leica.
C镜的良好光学表现,得益于复杂的光学结构和UD镜的采用,所以表现出优异的(几乎)全视野的清晰度和极低的色差.而L镜更高的反差和更好的通透感相信源自更高质量的光学材料,这一点是日系镜子目前无法超越的.高反差和通透感不仅仅给我们带来更更高的清晰度,还带来了更加栩栩如生,精彩灵动的影像.我宁可放弃边缘像质而追求生动感人的视觉效果.
不过,无论如何,C镜的光学表现已经极其出色,加上IS的奇效,要在顶级镜里占一席之地,确是理所当然!
